We go through many painting techniques in my courses. The goal is for you to learn painting techniques in a simple way, but also learn how to paint light and shadows into flowers and leaves.
You will also learn how to paint more abstract flowers and methods for painting plants and greenery.
Many people find it fun. Everyone can join the course, from beginners to advanced.

The watercolor class is available as a full-day course from 10:00 - 15:30. You can also find posted courses as one-off events of 3 hours. The course is held continuously. Contact Mette to get on the waiting list for the next course.
You will learn how to control the amount of water and color in specific exercises. Mette's flower courses are also available as an online flower course, but at the class in Copenhagen you will get direct, intense instruction as the class has a maximum of 6 people.
The watercolor course is adapted to the students who sign up and the time of year and the students' interests and need to learn, so I do not go into detail with the exact program. On this page you can get an idea of what you will get out of the course.
The flower course as an online course
Learn to paint flowers is an inspiring course with a focus on exercises through flowers and nature exercises. We paint pictures where you learn to build up images with shadows and light. You will learn to paint with Mette Hansgaard, who is your teacher at www.Kunstogkurser.dk Mette is an experienced teacher who will give you methods to crack the code on how to solve tasks in watercolor painting in a simple way. You don't need to be able to draw beforehand.

What materials do I need to bring?
In Mette's courses, we use 300 gram watercolor paper with a rough surface. You can find a good A4 and A3 pad so you have plenty of space to unfold your skills in concrete exercises. You will also need at least three brushes. If you don't have materials, you can always borrow and buy paper, so feel free to sign up even if you don't have materials.
How much do Watercolor Courses in Flowers cost?
Mette's courses vary according to whether they are full-day weekend courses or evening courses. You can also book individual sessions. Mette also runs workshops in Copenhagen by appointment for groups. You can book bachelorette parties and events for up to 6 people in the gallery.
Prices start at 425.- for 3 hours, where you bring your own materials. As an event, it costs a little more due to VAT rules.
If you book a Saturday event, it costs DKK 1200 - coffee and tea are included in the course. (However, lunch is not included)
Where do Mette's physical courses take place in Copenhagen?
Mette's regular courses are at Galleriet in Rørholmgade. Take the bus to Sølvtorvet and walk around the corner by Netto. It's 12 minutes on foot from Nørreport station. Behind the Botanical Gardens and 5 minutes from the National Gallery of Denmark.
Attendance is compulsory on courses, as you take up a place just like if you go for a massage or something else.
If you book a course in person, you are expected to show up. If you fall ill, please report it directly to Mette at 8 in the morning.
